Me Me Me (feat. Marcelle Ash) - McKinney

The NME’s Rick Martin stated of McKinney

Awesome song writing, reminds me of Blondie and Garbage when they were still valid

Featuring Surreal of which the highly respected Music Magazine “The Organ” stated,

This is cool, this rules, McKinney make ultra sassy fuzzing fizzing slightly psychedelic grrrl pop rock. They got soul, real big soul, they got smile, real big smile. Locked on Motown drums, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club flavored psychedelia and they know when to take their foot off the pedal and refocus the drama ah yes pounding, edgy, seductive ? a damn horny sound. They sound like they’re from California, they’re actually from Manchester , think Bangles with sassy fuzz, think Dandy Warhols locked on forward movement. This is very very cool, this really does rule. Perfect.

Marc Nominated For BBC Award

Marc has been nominated finalist in the BBC Radio 2/British Songwriters Academy (Home of the Ivor Novello’s) “New Songwriting Talent Award”

With karaoke based X factor type shows (quite how a “music” show invented by a guy who thought pop meant dressing up as a dog and barking a tune was a good idea has become so popular is beyond us) infecting the airwaves, the “New Songwriting Talent Award” is affirmation that Marcelle is now gaining recognition at the highest levels within the industry.

Gaining airplay on The Chris Evans BBC Radio 2 Show (Now the UK’s most listened to radio programme), and having been invited to Jeremy Vine’s midday BBC Radio 2 show, it’s clear that Marcelle is becoming known to a much wider audience.

Waiting For The Moon - Waiting For The Moon

BBC Radio Two Fall For Waiting For The Moon

Marcelle’s last single “Waiting or The Moon” had the accolade of being played on a very special Aled Jones show on the most listened to radio station in the UK, BBC Radio 2.

Played on Armed Forces Day, Aled introduced the song,

“The song is about families being separated by circumstances with the enforced separation that it implies.

“The lyrics are written from the prospective of the Mother and child left behind and is virtually a lullaby. The Mother is with the child trying to stay awake ‘til nightfall as they both know that the father is also “Waiting for the Moon” to look up to, knowing the Mother and Child back home are, doing the same thing, at the same time.

The song is about the family finding comfort, and being connected, by this simple act”
“Waiting For The Moon” is available worldwide via iTunes and Amazon
